Megan Folmar, Director of Communications and Change Management
Serving as Director of Communications and Change Management, Megan joined Colorado State University in March of 2023. With over 16 years of experience in higher education, Megan leads her teams in supporting strategic initiatives, projects, and transformations. She enhances organizational communication and guides seamless transitions, ensuring all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and empowered.

Megan is a recognized leader in higher education communications and change strategy, contributing to national discussions on their critical role in the field. Starting her Higher Ed career at Penn State, Megan has led teams in IT marketing, communications, and project management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from The Pennsylvania State University and is Prosci-certified in Change Management.

The Communications and Engagement team works in close partnership with IT staff members and key stakeholders from across the CSU System to develop communication and marketing materials that promote IT services and effectively communicate projects and strategic initiatives that will have a broad-based impact on each campus. This team has responsibility for all client-facing and external communications, including oversight of the Division’s website.
