CSU Pueblo LMS Transition Canvas is coming to CSU Pueblo. Blackboard will be replaced by Canvas as the Learning Management System (LMS) for the Spring 2027 semester. WebFocus to Power BI and Fabric CSU is transitioning from WebFOCUS to Microsoft Power BI to establish a unified, modern reporting platform at the system level. Software Acquisition Process A new software acquisition process that will improve clarity, efficiency, and compliance will launch across the CSU System on July 1, 2026.

Artificial Intelligence Strategy for IT

Members of the Division of IT are developing a set of guiding strategic pillars to define Colorado State University’s systemwide IT approach to artificial intelligence. Once finalized, these pillars will guide how work is organized, services are designed, and campus partnerships are formed—positioning CSU as a thoughtful and innovative leader in the responsible use of AI. Additional details and next steps will be shared in the coming weeks.

IT Alignment

The IT Alignment initiative is scheduled to officially launch in July 2026. Foundational activities—including data gathering, stakeholder engagement, and culture‑building—will lay the groundwork for this effort. During this phase, we will also engage third‑party consulting partners to provide additional expertise and support. Consistent with our commitment to transparency and shared ownership, we will communicate regularly about progress, process, and opportunities for involvement as this work moves forward.
